"Judges are the supreme, untouchable rulers of the justice system. To strictly differentiate: The Litigation Lawyer argues passionately for one side. The Deputy Public Prosecutor demands the criminal be jailed. The Judge sits in silence, listens to everyone, and then wields the terrifying power of the State to declare who is right, who loses all their money, and who goes to prison for the rest of their life."
Judicial Commissioner
"Judicial Commissioners are the judges in training. To strictly differentiate: The Litigation Lawyer argues the case. The High Court Judge holds permanent, protected tenure and cannot be easily fired. The Judicial Commissioner holds the exact same power in the courtroom as a High Court Judge, they wear the same robes, hear the same murder trials, and write the same judgments, but they are on a 2 year contract. If they perform poorly, they are quietly dismissed and do not become a full Judge."
