Auxiliary Police

Polis Bantuan

"A specialized private security sector granted limited police powers to maintain law and order, protect corporate assets, and ensure public safety within defined geographical areas."

The Career Story

Auxiliary Police officers wear uniforms resembling regular police and carry firearms. They perform patrols, manage access control, and have the authority to arrest suspects within their specific agency's property.

The Auxiliary Police (Polis Bantuan - PB) play a critical role in Malaysia's security infrastructure. Employed by government agencies, GLCs (like Malaysia Airports or Petronas), banks, and large plantations, they are private employees who are trained by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and granted specific police powers including the right to carry firearms and make arrests, strictly within the boundaries of their employer's property.

Daily duties are physical and routine. An officer might be stationed at a bank vault, conduct vehicle checks at a port entrance, or patrol an airport terminal. They must respond to emergencies, manage crowd control during incidents, and detain trespassers or thieves until regular PDRM officers arrive.

This role is highly secure against AI, as physical presence, human judgment in crisis situations, and the legal authority to use force cannot be automated. It offers a disciplined, stable career path for SPM leavers who want law enforcement experience without joining the regular police force.
