Data Methodology
How we source, calculate, and present our Career Intelligence metrics.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
The MyProfile Career Intelligence Database is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry realities. We synthesize data from reputable national and global sources to provide students with a clear, realistic projection of their future careers.
AI Replacement Risk
The AI Replacement Risk score indicates the likelihood of a career's core tasks being fully automated by Artificial Intelligence within the next 10 years.
- High Risk (>60%): Roles heavily reliant on repetitive data processing, routine coding, or basic administration.
- Low Risk (<30%): Roles requiring profound human empathy, complex physical dexterity, ethical judgment, or high-level strategic creativity.
Demand & Future Relevance
We aggregate active job listings, national census data, and global economic reports to generate these scores.
- Malaysia Demand: Factored using data from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) and top local job portals (JobStreet, LinkedIn Malaysia).
- Future Relevance: Based on the World Economic Forum (WEF) Future of Jobs Report, projecting industry growth over the next decade.
Salary Intelligence
Salary metrics are constantly shifting. We provide baseline averages to set realistic expectations. Our brackets (Entry, Mid, Senior) are sourced by aggregating self-reported data on platforms like Glassdoor and Payscale, cross-referenced with Malaysian recruitment agency salary guides (e.g., Hays, Kelly Services).
Personality Match (Introvert/Extrovert)
These scores are mapped against the Holland Codes (RIASEC) model. They act as a general guide to indicate how much independent, focused work (Introvert) versus highly collaborative, client-facing work (Extrovert) is typically required in the daily environment of the career.
