Sameru
Sameru
Microsleep, or sudden short sleep episodes, is one of the main causes of accidents on the road and in the workplace. To address this problem, our project introduces Sameru, a compact and portable Sameru is a portable microsleep detection device designed to clip onto any eyewear. It uses an infrared eye sensor to track blink patterns, with a microcontroller processing the data in real time. When drowsiness is detected, the system triggers alerts through a buzzer, vibration, and GPS tracking. Housed in a modular clip, Sameru is lightweight, transferable, and user-friendly. Tests show reliable detection under different lighting conditions, proving its potential as an effective tool to prevent accidents caused by drowsiness.
