SWEET SHIELD
SWEET SHIELD
Sweet Shield is a research-based innovation project focused on creating an edible natural coating for fruits using honey combined with natural nanoparticles. The aim is to slow down fruit spoilage by forming a protective layer that reduces exposure to air, moisture loss, and microbial growth. This coating is designed to be safe, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly, making it a sustainable alternative to chemical preservatives. The project ultimately supports longer shelf life of fruits, reduced food waste, and improved food safety while using simple, natural materials.
