About Kuala Terengganu Polytechnic
Kuala Terengganu Polytechnic or simply PKT was officially established on January 1, 1999 under the concept of a campus in the city. The PKKT campus is located on the old site of the Kuala Terengganu Land and District Office building that has been leased to the Malaysian Ministry of Education. The first recruitment was a total of 153 people in June 1999 for the Civil Engineering course only. Now, the number of students has increased to almost 1000 people through Diploma in Information Technology (Programming) and Diploma in Electronics (Network) courses. From mid-May 2004, the Polytechnic was placed under the Ministry of Higher Education in conjunction with the establishment of a new cabinet after the 2004 General Election.
