About Kuala Terengganu Community College
On 5 July 2000, the Cabinet considered Memorandum No. 398/2225/00 which was submitted by the Minister of Education on the concept of establishment and implementation of Community Colleges in each parliamentary constituency. The college will be an institution that provides training and skills needs at all levels and provides educational opportunities to secondary school graduates before entering the labor market or furthering their education to higher levels.
A total of 10 pilot Community Colleges started operating in mid -June 2001, including the Kuala Terengganu Community College and 2 more in December 2001. More Community Colleges are being planned for construction in phases in the 9th Plan.
