About Tun Syed Nasir Syed Ismail Polytechnic
Tun Syed Nasir Syed Ismail Polytechnic was established on 1 April 2014. With a workforce of 17 people consisting of polytechnic lecturers and support staff, PTSN began operating in a temporary campus at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic considering that the permanent campus is located in Pagoh, Johor is still under construction. Tun Syed Nasir Syed Ismail Polytechnic has two main departments which are the Department of Petrochemical Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Food Technology and two supporting departments which are the Department of Mathematics, Science & Computer and the Department of General Studies. In the beginning, PTSN only offered two programs. But now, PTSN offers six main programs which are:
1. Diploma in Process Engineering (Petrochemical)
2. Diploma in Food Technology
3. Diploma in Chemical Engineering
4. Diploma in Chemical Technology (Fats & Oils)
5. Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
6. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Petrochemical)
Starting from December 2014, the name of Johor Pagoh Polytechnic was officially changed to Tun Syed Nasir Syed Ismail Polytechnic (PTSN).
