About Geomatika University College
Geomatika University College (GUC) started as a Vocational Centre in 2000, carving a niche in Land Surveying. Noting a growing demand for such a specialization, Geomatika submitted an application for college status and obtained the approval from the Ministry of Education.
Due to overwhelming demand, Geomatika established its Department of Geospatial and Land Development and launched the Centre of GIS (CeGIS) Short Courses Program in Geospatial Technology as well as Certificate in Land Assistantship Surveying.
As part of Malaysian tertiary education ecosystem, GUC has aligned its strategies with The National Transformational Program (NTP) under the NKEA, in tangent with the nation’s plan to be a developed nation by 2020. In 2014, GUC was awarded the status of a full university college by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) (MO).
