The theme for the 2023 LEGO School Challenge gave students the opportunity to create a theoretical modern city consisting of high-tech facilities, engaging entertainment venues, residential spaces, and shopping hubs. We decided to create "Moxembourg," a cutting-edge urban centre that fulfils all the requirements for a state-of-the-art city. At the heart of the city is a multipurpose skyscraper containing a public library, government offices, and a rapid sky transport system. To prevent traffic congestion during peak commute hours, the transport system connects to lifts positioned along the edges of the city. Additionally, Moxembourg features a hospital equipped with fast-response hovering ambulances, an industrial and agricultural quarter that boosts the city's gross domestic product, and a large block of flats with an adjacent shopping centre for the convenience of its residents. All in all, the LEGO School Challenge provided a fantastic opportunity for students to bring futuristic designs to life through their own creativity. The challenge also demanded strong teamwork, communication, and coordination. Without these skills, everything can fall apart even a single uncooperative team member can impact the entire group. Ultimately, this experience was a true eye-opener for me and undeniably worth all the effort we poured into it.
