This project is a smart automated roofing system designed to respond to changing weather conditions, particularly rainfall. The model represents a small residential structure equipped with a movable roof mechanism and a rain sensor. When the sensor detects rain, the system automatically activates a motor to adjust the roof, allowing it to open or move into its designated position. The physical prototype was constructed using LEGO components and electronic parts, while the digital model was designed to demonstrate the overall structure and mechanism of the system. The main purpose of the project is to demonstrate how automation, sensors, and mechanical systems can be combined to create a practical smart-home solution. By automatically responding to rain without requiring manual operation, the system can provide greater convenience while protecting the structure and its surroundings from changing weather conditions. Developing this model also allowed me to gain practical experience in 3D modelling, electronics, programming, automation, problem-solving, and mechanical design.
